Marc Marquez Crowned MotoGP Champion

Spanish rider Marc Marquez won the 2018 MotoGP Championship after emerging victorious in the Japanese Grand Prix ahead of Cal Crutchlow and Alex Rins.

Marquez, 25, sealed a third consecutive title to see him tied with Mick Doohan as the third most successful rider with five premier class titles.

Italians Valentino Rossi (7) and Giacomo Agostini (8) are the only pair with more titles than the Spaniard.

The Japanese victory saw Marquez been crowned champion for the seventh time in his career with five titles in MotoGP, one in Moto2 and one in the 125cc.
